Six Sigma Green Belt training in English

Available ONLINE!

The Six Sigma is a corporate governance method that is based on the approach of information theory and statistics, which divides the processes aimed at the correction and development of the business into 6 main steps (definition, measurement, analysis, development, implementation and control). This method is not only intended to provide guidelines for mapping the operation of the business, but also for its improvement, since it is a structured, quality-enhancing program based on facts. The Six Sigma method enhances and improves the performance of the company through analyses that are based on measurable data, the magnitude of which is simply the number of errors per million operations / pieces. The goal of the Six Sigma developments is to reach 3,4 (or even less) errors per one million. For a quality improving and effective solution an accurate, useful, and inexpensive data collection and analysis is needed, and for example, the existing enterprise information system should be linked to a statistical analysis system. To sum up, the aim is to reduce the expenses and losses of the enterprise, to realize the results that can be measured in money and to achieve customer satisfaction.

The Six Sigma method is not only used in the industrial sector, but also in services and transactions (e.g. in banks or IT), and also for the development of minor processes, such as development, services and administration. In addition to the documented quality management systems the Six Sigma projects are the ones that make the operation of the enterprises really efficient, thanks to the intensive use of mathematical and statistical methods.

The method is applied by people who are familiar with it, mainly with technical and financial backgrounds, who regularly monitor the processes of the company and, as kind of trainers, train the leaders of individual business areas assigned to six sigma tasks. To indicate the experience in the method, grades taken from judo are used, and therefore there are advisors and leaders having green belt, black belt or master grade.

Reasons to choose our training:

What makes our course different?

Most references:
Our references unanimously prove that we are on the right track. The opinions of our students confirm the success of our method.

The focus is on the exercises:
Participants put the aqcuired theory into practice with the help of the instructor, and aquire the basic use of a statistical software as well as compose their own 6S project.

Immediately visible result = remuneratory training
The projects can be introducted in the company and thus produce results in money.

Program

The Six Sigma training consists of two parts: work in the classroom and work in the workplace between and after the training sessions, which focuses on the project.
Classroom sessions consist of 6 training days, with a 3*2 day schedule and 1,5 to 2 months lead time depending on the organization. Project work begins on the first day of the training, and the lead time for a properly defined topic is 2,5-3 months. Day 7 of the training is exam day.

During the classroom sessions, participants will learn about the six sigma work phases and the basic techniques to be applied in each phase. These techniques are required to perform the followings:

  • compiling a problem map
  • reason seeking and verification
  • forming of a development proposal
  • re-regulating processes
  • and performing the related measurement, data management, statistical analysis tasks

Classroom sessions are structured as follows:

  1. lecture part about methods and tasks to be performed
  2. task accomplishment individually or in small groups (the latter case only if participants come from the same workplace)
  3. introduction of the result product made individually or in small groups, followed by a discussion, evaluation and conclusion
  4. the lecturer’s proposal for continuing the work
  5. additional methods related to the task and examples of their application.

Project work:

During the training, each participant will apply the individual steps of the six sigma method to his / her own project topic selected on the first day of the program. The participants begin their work during the classroom session, carry on between the sessions and finish after the last session, which requires work in the workplace. The project to be developed focuses on the current quality improvement of the selected process by applying the learned methods in group work and with group leadership.

Methodological stages of the project:

  • task formulation – Define
  • perform measurements – Measure
  • data management, analytical work – Analyse
  • process improvement – Improve
  • operational commissioning – Control

The methodological correctness of the project is ensured by the consultant help of the trainers, and the usefulness of the project is ensured by choosing the appropriate topic.

Aspects of topic selection:

  • tasks, the solution of which is a declared customer demand
  • part of the company’s development plan
  • measurement data are available about the labour process
  • the project topic can be defined so that it can be completed successfully within 2,5-3 months

In order to facilitate the topic choice and to start the project as soon as possible, we ask the participants to bring at least 2 topic suggestions for the first day of training with them.

In order to make the work at the workplace effective, the 2-day classroom sessions follow each other with at least 2-3 weeks interval. We draw the attention of the participants’ employers to the fact, that ensuring the time needed to complete the tasks at the workplace has a significant impact on the efficiency or inefficiency of the training.

Components of the work at the workplace:

  1. continuing, complementing and completing the classroom task involving, if necessary, co-workers, and documenting it in a form suitable for presentation,
  2. preparatory work for the next classroom session (e.g. data collection, measurement, data analysis, experiment, etc.)

F.A.Q.

Who is the seminar for?

The seminar is held by an instructor with black belt and it trains green belt employees in order to ensure that the company is able to compete with the market by means of continuous development based on data analysis. In the current economic situation, the education of middle managers and shift managers of the enterprises is essential for the more efficient operation of the company. Getting to know the Six Sigma method is closely connected to these goals, which is able to make each processes of the organization more efficient in a comprehensive way.

What kind of document do I get at the end of the training?

Participants who complete the course get a Six Sigma Green Belt certificate in English.

To be entitled to own the Six Sigma Green Belt degree two conditions must be met:

  • successful written exam of the learned methods
  • presentation of the 6 Sigma Project of the selected topic that have been done at an appropriate level and proven to be efficient

The Green Belt degree certifies that its holder is capable of carrying out a project with proven results on a topic proposed by him/her and approved by his/her principal, using the basic six sigma techniques.

Is it possible to require an international certificate?

Yes, it is. Six Sigma participants can require internationally accepted TÜV Certificates. It is optional, not compulsory. Price of the TÜV Certificate: 33.000 HUF+VAT.

What does the daily schedule of the training look like?

Lectures start at 9am and end at 5pm. We provide a few small breaks and a half-hour lunch break to the attendees.

How long is the training?
